Comptroller Peter Franchot has released his first campaign video in his race for governor. He has also announced his hiring of the Tidemore Group, a political consulting firm co-founded by former Maryland Democratic Party Executive Director Ben Smith, to run his campaign. At this point, there are no other declared candidates for governor. Franchot’s video appears below.
