In the wake of Jane Redicker’s impending retirement, the Greater Silver Spring Chamber of Commerce has announced the identity of her successor. The Silver Spring chamber’s leader is one of the most prominent positions in the county’s business community. And with the local economy recovering from the pandemic and a wave of violent and property crime underway, Silver Spring is at a critical moment in its history – making this hire even more important. Greater Silver Spring Chamber of Commerce Names New President
Silver Spring, MD February 21, 2023–The Greater Silver Spring Chamber of Commerce today announced that after an intensive search, it has named Stephanie Helsing of Silver Spring to serve as the Chamber’s new president. As president, Ms. Helsing will be the Chamber’s chief staff officer responsible for day-to-day operations, working under the direction of the Board of Directors to develop and implement strategy and programs that fulfil the Chamber’s mission of enhancing the economic prosperity of greater Silver Spring through robust promotion of its member businesses and unrelenting advocacy on their behalf. She will assume her post on March 20, 2023.
Ms. Helsing brings a wealth of experience to Silver Spring and the Chamber, having served previously as the organization’s director of membership development. Most recently, she has served as senior manager of membership for the Public Affairs Council, where she grew the organization’s U.S. membership, oversaw the development and implementation of new member services, and supported the expansion of membership in the organization’s Brussels office.

McCartin Insurance, Inc, and who serves as the current chair of the Chamber’s Board of Directors. “She brings impressive skills in membership development, program implementation, and communications. Most important, she knows Silver Spring from her previous position with us and as a long-time resident. As we celebrate our 30th anniversary this year, we’re confident Stephanie will lead the Chamber into our next decade.”
