By Adam Pagnucco.
Sumindi Peiris, who has been the president of MoCo360’s parent company since February 2022, is no longer with the company. Peiris has extensive experience in branding for a variety of organizations and worked on the relaunch of what was formerly known as Bethesda Beat. This follows the departure of county government reporter Steve Bohnel. MoCo360 sent me the following statement.
*****
Sumindi Peiris has departed as president of Z-Pop Media LLC, publisher of MoCo360.media and Bethesda Magazine. Her duties as president will now fall to Scott Copeland, the owner and CEO of Z-Pop Media. Ms. Peiris energetically and enthusiastically led Z-Pop Media through an extensive rebrand, which launched on Feb. 2. The rebranded MoCo360 clearly represents MoCo360’s mission to inform, connect and inspire all of Montgomery County.
Ms. Peiris’ efforts in her role are deeply appreciated, and Mr. Copeland and the team at MoCo360.media wish her all the very best in her future endeavors.
