A few notes.

The top post drew interest because it showed differences between high schools on employee survey responses.  I bet many of the folks who sent their kids to the high schools on the bottom end of the survey distribution want to know why their schools lagged others.  Whatever the answer, the post stresses one of MCPS’s principal characteristics – the enormous disparities between its schools.  MCPS is conducting another survey now.  When the results are released, it will be interesting to see how the new survey compares to last year’s.

The story about an anti-Israel panel held at Montgomery College drew widespread concern, but as far as I can tell, it was not covered by the mainstream media.  I would not be surprised if there were other shoes to drop on this in the future.

There are always other shoes to drop on police staffing.  With pension benefit changes on deck for next year, the police department could see an exodus that exacerbates the county’s crime problems.  And that’s a problem for incumbent politicians as a recent Washington Post poll shows that crime is now the top concern for MoCo voters.  I have little doubt that if the 2022 Democratic primary were held today, David Blair would be the next county executive.  Timing is everything in politics.

On to April!
