Prince George’s County Executive Angela Alsobrooks has declared victory in her primary election for U.S. Senate. Her declaration is backed up by Decision Desk HQ’s call in her favor.
At this writing, Alsobrooks leads Congressman David Trone by 12 points in early voting (which is finalized), 21 points in election day voting (with almost three-quarters of precincts reporting) and 11 points in total votes. Trone leads by 10 points in mail votes, of which perhaps 40% or less have been counted.

My VERY rough math – which is changing by the minute! – suggests that Trone would need more than a 20 point lead in the remaining mail ballots to have a shot at overtaking her. And that is probably too conservative because election day ballots are still coming in right now.
I would much rather be Alsobrooks than Trone at this moment.
