Council Member Evan Glass, who is running for county executive, recently got a helping hand from – of all people! – Fox News host Laura Ingraham.  The long-time conservative, who would no more vote for Glass than for AOC, did him a big favor by spotlighting him on her show.  And Glass is smartly exploiting it!

Last month, the U.S. Supreme Court heard arguments in Mahmoud v. Taylor, which concerns efforts by some MCPS parents to opt out of LGBTQ+ friendly curriculum.  Ingraham covered the case on her show, starting her remarks by referring to “the far-left Montgomery County, Maryland.”  (Hey Laura – do you know we voted for term limits twice and charter limits on property taxes multiple times?)  The show then showed footage of Glass (who is gay) speaking outside the courthouse saying, “People want to erase us from books.  They want to erase us from existing.”  Ingraham replied, “There’s not an eraser big enough, OK?”

Here’s the clip.

Glass is now circulating this video on social media, and he should.  Every MoCo Democrat would love to be attacked on Fox News.  The only thing better would be a direct attack from Donald Trump.  (Will Jawando, are you working on that??)

Ingraham should invite Glass on her show to discuss the issue.  They’re both capable debaters and it would be a real scrap!  In the meantime, congratulations to Glass.  Let the executive race get underway!
