A new group of elected officials has endorsed Council Member Andrew Friedson for county executive.  They include State’s Attorney John McCarthy, Board of Education Member Rita Montoya, six current municipal elected officials and three former municipal elected officials.  The municipal officials come from Brookeville, Kensington, Poolesville and Rockville.

Previously, Friedson has been endorsed by four state senators, former county executive candidate David Blair and the fire fighters union.  I won’t run every endorsement in every race, but these illustrate both prominent supporters and geographic diversity.  The latter is important for a district-based candidate running countywide like Friedson.

Endorsements from leaders across Montgomery County underscore Friedson’s wide appeal and record of pragmatic, results-driven leadership

BETHESDA, MD — Andrew Friedson’s campaign for Montgomery County Executive today announced a broad coalition of endorsements from countywide and local elected officials. This diverse group of supporters represents a wide range of communities, highlighting Friedson’s appeal and his commitment to uniting the county around a common vision for the future.
