Check out the sender on the mailer below supporting the candidacy of Will Milam, who is running against Sheriff Max Uy. The sender is the Working Families Advocacy Project, 1775 K St NW, Washington DC 20006. State records list this entity as an independent expenditure committee while federal records show it as a Super PAC linked to the United Food and Commmercial Workers International Union (UFCW), the parent organization of MCGEO. The group’s treasurer is Milton Jones, who is the UFCW’s International President.
This mailer is just one component of the many tactics employed by MCGEO to replace Uy with Milam. Whether MCGEO succeeds or not, the union’s message is loud and clear: Don’t Cross Us. The mailer is reprinted below.
