Apps Bichu, who has been a growth and justice reporter for MoCo360 since October 2022, announced her departure on Twitter today. She wrote:
After spending half a year at @MoCo360Media, with the best colleagues I could ever ask for @mxespey @Ginny_Bixby @byakirakyles @Steve_Bohnel among so many others, I have decided to switch gears and transition to a new path. Stay tuned for my next steps!
A job as a journalist in the DMV area is what so many people dream about and I’m so lucky to have had the role as part of my first job. I was honored to keep Montgomery County informed and writing about real estate and development as well as public safety and justice.
But now it’s time for something new as I’ve realized breaking news journalism is not my path. As I wrap up my notice period today, I emerge as someone wiser, more clear on her goals, and excited for whatever lies ahead! I will be cheering @MoCo360Media along the way!
Bichu’s announcement follows the departures of county government reporter Steve Bohnel on March 27 and President Sumindi Peiris on March 28.
