Former Student Member of the Board of Education Matt Post, who announced his campaign for District 14 Delegate on Friday, has claimed that he has raised more than $100,000 and has gathered early endorsements from current and former elected officials. District 14 has an open House seat due to the retirement of Delegate Pamela Queen.
Post’s campaign finance claims can’t be verified until he files his first report in January. Also of interest is that he established his campaign committee on 7/31/25, about six weeks before Queen announced her retirement.
In any event, six digits would be a solid early number in a Downcounty district like 16 or 18. In an Upcounty district like 14, it’s better than that. Let’s see who else gets in this race.

District 14 Delegate Candidate Matt Post Raises Over $100,000, Announces 14 Elected Officials and Community Leaders Endorsing Campaign
Two days after launching his campaign to represent District 14 in the Maryland House of Delegates, Matt Post announced today his campaign has raised over $100,000 from grassroots supporters. The campaign also announced a broad coalition of elected officials and community leaders who have endorsed Post’s candidacy.
“People are hungry for new energy, new leaders, and a different kind of politics,” said Post. “These resources will allow us to run a new kind of campaign that reaches every corner of our district, reengages those who have lost faith in our democracy, and channels the grassroots energy needed to deliver urgent change.”
“I want to be clear: this is just the beginning. I’m going to work my tail off until 8 PM on Election Day to build resources for our campaign, hear from every member of our community, and earn the privilege to fight alongside them in Annapolis.”
Post’s campaign has committed to taking zero dollars from for-profit corporations, instead building a grassroots movement powered by individual donors who share his belief that Maryland should lead the nation in education, workers’ rights, and gun violence prevention.
