Council District 3 Democratic Primary winner Jud Ashman was first elected to the Gaithersburg City Council in 2007 and became the city’s mayor in 2014. Other than his elected service in Gaithersburg, Ashman is best known as the founder of the Gaithersburg Book Festival.
