Recent events at the planning board accounted for 7 of the top 10 stories and that is no surprise. The crisis at the board, and the county council’s intervention in it, is one of the biggest stories in county government in the last five years (at least). Future councils should remember these events when they confront their next crisis at an agency led by their appointees, whenever that inevitably arises.
