Council Member Kristin Mink has deleted thousands of tweets in the last month.  What did they all say?

Will we ever know?

Take a look at a screenshot of Mink’s Twitter account on July 9 (yesterday).  It states at the top that the account has 8,397 tweets.

Now let’s look at a screenshot of Mink’s Twitter account taken by the Wayback Machine on June 22, 2021, roughly two years ago.  This is Wayback’s first capture of Mink’s account.  This screenshot shows that the account had roughly 11,900 tweets at that time.

Finally, let’s look at a screenshot of Mink’s Twitter account by the Wayback Machine on May 7, 2022.  This is the last Wayback capture of Mink’s account showing a number of tweets.  At this point, Mink had roughly 13,800 tweets.

Let’s put this together.  From June 22, 2021 through May 7, 2022, Mink added a net 1,900 tweets.  That’s a very active account.  But then between May 7, 2022 and July 9, 2023, Mink’s number of tweets dropped by 5,400.

What happened?

Let’s go to Socialblade.com, which tracks social media activity – including Twitter.  Here is a screenshot of Social Blade’s report on Mink’s Twitter account taken on July 9 (yesterday).

Social Blade shows that Mink had 8,716 tweets yesterday.  (This is higher than the number from Twitter – 8,397 – which was taken yesterday evening.)  The above screenshot shows that 6,099 tweets were deleted from her account over the prior 30 days.

Here is her daily activity over the past two weeks.  Hundreds of tweets are disappearing almost every day.

There is more.  Social Blade shows monthly change in the number of tweets going back five years.  For almost all of that period, Mink added dozens or hundreds of tweets every month.  Her record is October 2020, in which she added 795 tweets.  She came close to that in January 2021, when she added 793 tweets.  (You gotta respect her work ethic!)  But in June 2023, her account lost 2,026 tweets.  Check out her tweet activity in the screenshot below.

What did she say in the deleted tweets?  Here’s one clue.  On June 12, I wrote an article with links to five tweets by Mink about white people and “Zionist Jews.”  Guess what?  All five were deleted (but the screenshots remain).  Here is what the tweet about “Zionist Jews” now looks like.

Finally, there is this.  I began writing this story shortly after 4 PM yesterday.  At that moment, Mink’s account had 8,397 tweets as shown in the first screenshot in this article.

At 5:20 PM, her Twitter account had 8,372 tweets as shown in the screenshot below.

This implies that someone deleted 25 tweets from her account while I was writing this story.

And as of 9:30 this morning?  Check out the newest screenshot below.  Her account had 8,056 tweets.

The deleting continues.
