Congresswoman April McClain Delaney and her opponent, former Congressman David Trone, have released competing TV ads in their Congressional District 6 primary.
First, here is Trone’s ad attacking McClain Delaney for her vote in favor of S.5, known as the Laken Riley Act. The law would require the U.S. Department of Homeland Security to detain unauthorized immigrants for “burglary, theft, larceny, or shoplifting.” McClain Delaney was one of 48 House Democrats to vote yes while 159 voted no.
Second, here is McClain Delaney’s ad touting her support from U.S. Senators Chris Van Hollen and Angela Alsobrooks, Governor Wes Moore and Congressman Jamie Raskin.
Here’s a bet: these won’t be the only TV ads in this hard-fought election.
