The Greater Capital Area Association of REALTORS MD IEC, a state-registered Super PAC, has begun independent expenditures on behalf of some of its endorsed candidates.  This follows independent expenditures by the Casa in Action PAC, another Super PAC, on behalf of a different group of candidates.

The realtors Super PAC has reported transferring $376,800 to Donohoe Partners, Inc. of Washington, DC on behalf of Andrew Friedson (who is running for county executive), Drew Morrison (who is running in Council District 1) and Scott Goldberg, Jim McNulty and Karla Silvestre (who are running for council at-large).  The purpose of the transfer is “Field Expenses – Consulting Fees – General.”

That’s more than the $116,918 so far spent by the CASA Super PAC on behalf of Will Jawando (who is running for county executive), Izola Shaw (who is running in Council District 3) and Fatmata Barrie, Josie Caballero, Marc Elrich and Laurie-Anne Sayles (how are running for council at-large).  But both the CASA PAC and the GCAAR PAC can draw on more resources if they wish.  And they won’t be the only outside players in this election.

The GCAAR Super PAC’s report can be downloaded below.
