Why do I write so much about MCPS? The biggest single reason is that you want me to! MCPS regularly dominates page view counts on this site and that is especially true with its boundaries studies and academic program analysis underway. Readers are right to pay attention to these issues because they could shape the direction of the school district for a generation.
The other big story right now is the eight billion dollar war over the county’s benefit funds. I have no idea why the rest of the local media has not covered this yet. A fierce battle is underway for control of these assets, and since they originate with your money, this is a matter of intense public interest. I will have more to say about this fight in the future.
