Now that long-time Delegate Bonnie Cullison has announced her retirement, the rest of the District 19 delegation – Senator Ben Kramer and Delegates Charlotte Crutchfield and Vaughn Stewart – have announced that they are running for reelection as a team. My understanding is that it’s possible they may include a non-incumbent on their team but they have made no decisions for now.

District 19 Team Files for Reelection, Will Run as Slate in 2026
ANNAPOLIS — Today, members of the District 19 delegation — Senator Ben Kramer and Delegates Charlotte Crutchfield and Vaughn Stewart — announced that they have officially filed for reelection and will once again run together as a coordinated team in the 2026 election.
The District 19 Team also recognized that their longtime colleague and teammate, Delegate Bonnie Cullison, has announced she will retire at the conclusion of this term after decades of dedicated public service.
“It has been the honor of our lives to serve District 19 together,” the Team said in a joint statement. “Our district is strongest when we work as a team, and we are proud of what we’ve accomplished alongside our neighbors. We hope to earn the opportunity to continue fighting for District 19 together.”
Senator Ben Kramer, who has represented District 19 in the Maryland Senate since 2019, emphasized his focus on consumer protection and standing up for seniors.
“For years, I’ve worked to make sure seniors and consumers are treated fairly — whether that means cracking down on scams, holding corporations accountable, or protecting people living on fixed incomes from rising costs,” Kramer said. “District 19 deserves experienced, steady leadership that understands how to get results, and I’m proud to continue that work alongside Charlotte and Vaughn.”
Delegate Charlotte Crutchfield, first elected in 2018, highlighted her commitment to community stability and public safety.
“Our district is home to working families, retirees, and young people building their futures,” Crutchfield said. “I’m running again because we still have work to do to keep our communities safe, protect seniors, and ensure opportunity is within reach for everyone who calls District 19 home.”
Delegate Vaughn Stewart, also first elected in 2018, framed the team’s reelection bid around affordability and accountability.
“I ran for office to fight for regular people,” Stewart said. “Whether it’s housing affordability, economic fairness, or making sure government answers to the people it serves, that’s the work I’m focused on. I’m proud to run as part of a team that shares those values and knows how to work together.”
